I’ve been using the Tide to Go Instant Stain Remover (”the Tide pen”) for some time now. It’s easily one of the best inventions of the 21st century!
This morning I was reminded again of how incredible this product really is when I spilled coffee all over my shirt… from a cup with a lid, while I was sitting down at a table. Now that takes skills! Anyway, when I got back to my office, I used the Tide pen and got ALL of the coffee stain out. Yay! The Tide pen such an essential.

menupix.com. My new favorite website. I came across it a few months ago. They have online menus for just about every restaurant. It’s awesome.

I went to Lucky Strike last Thursday night. It turns out that every Thursday is ladies’ night. Chicks bowl free from 9 to midnight. And the highest score gets crowned Miss Lucky Strike. Guess who bowled a 142, and totally kicked ass?! :) I got a crown, sash and boquet of roses, and free bowling for a year!

Me & Mr. Pin, just after I was crowned Miss Lucky Strike

Officers ran a safety checkpoint in Gardena on Wednesday, checking for valid licenses and safety violations.
http://www.dailybreeze.com/news/articles/8220877.html?showAll=y&c=y
During the four-hour operation, 1,839 cars went through the checkpoint and 1,489 were stopped by officers. About 3 percent of those, or 62 vehicles, were towed - 49 for unlicensed drivers and 13 for a suspended license. Two vehicles were abandoned before reaching the checkpoint.
49 unlicensed drivers?! Really? More than 2% of the drivers did not have licenses! I’m going to stay away from Gardena. And who abandons a vehicle? I bet those two were stolen cars.

It’s a horrible and sad thing that happened. It makes me really sad that so many people lost their lives and were injured because of someone who was obviously very f-ed in the head. Why is this so heavily covered on TV? We already know what happened. A guy shot a bunch of people.Stop trying to put responsibility on people for not following the warning signs. Cho Seung-Hui is responsible. Could he have been stopped? No. The guy was crazy.
The photos and videos he sent to NBC.. We know what happened and who did it. The photos and videos don’t justify or explain why he did this. It just reassures the fact that he’s crazy, but we already know that too.
Are USC and UCLA safe from this happening? What kind of question is that?
And stressing the fact that he was a Korean immigrant… He came here when he was a kid. He grew up in the US. I don’t think it has much to do with the fact that he was crazy.
The thing that saddens me almost as much as the shootings is how desensitized the students are. Over the last few days I saw so many students interviewed on TV. Questions all answered without any emotion, like it was something they saw in a movie. Why weren’t they mad or sad that their friends were killed? It wasn’t until this morning that I saw an interview where a student actually showed emotion. Sad.

I got this email today:
Commuter Services expresses our many “Thanks” for your participation in the2006 Rideshare Program. Your efforts help in reducing air pollution and traffic congestion, as we continue to strive for cleaner air [blah blah blah…]
They must know that I don’t really carpool to work.

Last night I went to Target to buy some NyQuil (actually Target brand nighttime cold medicine). At checkout, I was asked for ID. The cashier scanned my drivers license into the register. Kinda suss since NyQuil doesn’t even contain a decongestant. I hope they don’t use my information for identity theft purposes.

My friend had her baby last Thursday night. His name is Luca and he’s so beautiful and perfect! Before Luca, I had never really seen or been around a newborn before… kinda weird that I’m 30 and nobody I’m really close to has had babies. He’s about 20 minutes old in this picture:

I recently became addicted to Altoids Dark Chocolate Dipped Mints. I’ve had the peppermint ones and they are so delicious. They taste kinda like York Peppermint Patties, but they are not soft since they have an Altoid inside. They also make cinnamon and ginger, but those flavors don’t sound so good.
